Sanitary Ball Valve Test installation requirements:

The pressure relief device should ensure that the components that meet the design technical specifications are installed. It is clean and ready for testing.

The pressure relief device should be installed on the test vessel using connection accessories (flange connection, threaded connection, coal connection, etc.). Other connection accessories can also be used as long as they do not affect the test accuracy.

The operating and environmental conditions should be maintained as required by the test procedure used. The test duration should meet the needs of obtaining the required performance data under stable conditions.

Tests on the sanitary ball valve bench with compressible media:

Valves marked for steam should be tested with steam; valves marked for air, gas or steam should be tested with air or gas, and the inlet pressure of the pressure sanitary ball valve should be the static pressure measured at the pressure port.

Note: For steam testing, the dryness of the steam may affect the valve's operating characteristics. Insufficient steam-water separation, insufficient insulation of the test vessel and/or improper operation of the steam trap will affect the dryness of the steam.

Raise the valve inlet pressure to 0.09 of the expected set pressure and then increase the pressure at a rate equal to 0.02 of the set pressure per second or at a rate required to read the pressure value. Observe and record the set pressure and other relevant valve characteristic values. Then reduce the inlet pressure until the valve closes.

This test should be repeated so that the set pressure of the valve can be calculated. If a measured value of the re-seat pressure is to be obtained, sufficient test medium capacity is required at the inlet of the sanitary ball valve. In determining this tolerance, the time of the action cycle and the diameter of the device under test must be considered based on the supply rate of the test medium.
