High Platform Ball Valve Can Realize The Regulation And Strict Shutoff Of The Medium
Sanitary Ball Valve is a relatively new type of ball valve. It has some unique features of its own structure, such as no friction when switching, the seal is not easy to wear, and the opening and closing torque is small. This can reduce the specifications of the actuator. Equipped with a multi-turn electric actuator, it can achieve the adjustment and strict shutoff of the medium. It is widely used in working conditions that require strict shutoff, such as petroleum, chemical industry, and urban water supply and drainage.
1. Advantages of high-platform ball valves:
1. The fluid resistance of the high-platform ball valve is small, and its resistance coefficient is equal to that of the pipe section of the same length.
2. The high-platform ball valve has a simple structure, small size, and light weight.
3. Tight and reliable. At present, the sealing surface material of the ball valve widely uses plastic, which has good sealing performance and has been widely used in vacuum systems.
4. The high-platform ball valve is easy to operate and opens and closes quickly. It only needs to rotate 90° from full open to full closed, which is convenient for long-distance control.
5. Easy maintenance. The ball valve has a simple structure, and the sealing ring is generally movable, which is convenient for disassembly and replacement.
6. When the high-platform ball valve is fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface of the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium. When the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface.
7. The high-platform ball valve has a wide range of applications, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, and can be used from high vacuum to high pressure. When the ball rotates 90 degrees, the inlet and outlet should all present spherical surfaces, thereby cutting off the flow.
II. Disadvantages of high-platform ball valves:
① Because the main valve seat sealing ring material of the ball valve is polytetrafluoroethylene, it is inert to almost all chemical substances, and has the comprehensive characteristics of low friction coefficient, stable performance, not easy to age, wide temperature application range and excellent sealing performance. However, the physical properties of polytetrafluoroethylene, including high expansion coefficient, sensitivity to cold flow and poor thermal conductivity, require that the design of the valve seat seal must be based on these characteristics. Therefore, when the sealing material hardens, the reliability of the seal is damaged. Moreover, the temperature resistance level of polytetrafluoroethylene is low and can only be used at less than 180°C. Exceeding this temperature, the sealing material will age. Considering long-term use, it is generally not used at 120℃.
② Its adjustment performance is worse than that of the stop valve, especially the pneumatic valve (or electric valve).
