The Selection Of Materials And Mechanisms Directly Affects The Sealing Performance Of High Platform Ball Valves
The ball of Sanitary Ball Valve adopts a plug body that can be easily rotated 90 degrees. It is easy to operate and plays the role of switch and medium connection. There are two main types of ball support for high platform ball valves: fixed and floating. The characteristics of these two ball support methods are introduced below:
1. Fixed ball valve: more suitable for high pressure or large diameter fields; because the torque of the ball is small and the deformation of the valve seat is small, its sealing performance is stable and the service life is long. The ball of the fixed ball valve is connected to the upper and lower valve stems. The ball can rotate freely along the axis perpendicular to the valve channel and cannot move along the channel axis.
2. Floating ball valve: The valve stem and the ball are movably connected, and the ball has no support shaft. The valve seats at both ends of the ball valve are supported, so the ball of the floating ball valve is held flat by the two end seats and is in a floating state.
Fixed and floating high platform ball valves are two types of valve products that are widely used.
Sealing is very important for high-platform ball valves or any kind of valve. The effect is affected by the sealing performance during use. How to simply share the sealing performance of high-platform ball valves:
The material selection and form of high-platform ball valves are two important factors affecting their sealing performance:
1. The common pre-tightening pressure ratio of the sealing seat is about 0.1 nominal pressure, not less than 1.02mpa. The adjustment of the pre-tightening pressure ratio of the sealing seat is determined by the thickness of the sealing gasket. The sealing performance is related to the error size of the gasket thickness and needs to be reasonably adjusted according to the usage.
2. The sealing performance of the ball valve is related to the structure. Different structures produce different sealing effects. Only by selecting suitable strict sealing materials and reasonable structural design can the ball valve have good sealing performance.
In short, the selection of materials and mechanisms directly affects the sealing performance of high-platform ball valves.
