Classification by connection method
1. Sanitary wafer butterfly valve
The butterfly plate of the wafer butterfly valve is installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis, and the rotation angle is between 0°-90°. When it rotates to 90°, the valve is fully open.
The wafer butterfly valve has a simple structure, small size, light weight, and is composed of only a few parts. Moreover, it can be quickly opened and closed by rotating 90°, which is simple to operate. At the same time, the valve has good fluid control characteristics. When the butterfly valve is in the fully open position, the thickness of the butterfly plate is the only resistance when the medium flows through the valve body. Therefore, the pressure drop generated by the valve is very small, so it has good flow control characteristics. Butterfly valves have two sealing types: elastic seal and metal seal. For elastic sealing valves, the sealing ring can be embedded in the valve body or attached to the periphery of the butterfly plate.
2. Sanitary flange butterfly valve
The flange butterfly valve is a vertical plate structure, and the valve stem is an integral metal hard seal valve. The sealing ring is a composite structure of flexible graphite plate and stainless steel plate, which is installed on the valve body, and the butterfly plate sealing surface is welded with stainless steel. The sealing ring of the soft seal valve is made of nitrile rubber and is installed on the butterfly plate.

The quick-install butterfly valve is a non-sealed butterfly valve with chucks at both ends for easy installation, maintenance and disassembly. It is widely used in pipelines with medium temperature ≤300℃ and nominal pressure of 0.1Mpa in production processes such as building materials, metallurgy, mining, and electric power to connect, open and close or adjust the amount of medium.
