Why Are Sanitary Diaphragm Valves Widely Used In The Pharmaceutical Field?
Why is Sanitary Diaphragm Valve widely used in the pharmaceutical field? Sanitary diaphragm valves are widely used in the pharmaceutical field. What are its advantages?
When we use corrosion-resistant regulating valves, we use the front part with quick opening characteristics, and the effective stroke is short. The fluid resistance is small; rubber has good corrosion resistance, and there is no better corrosion-resistant material. We should use it as a corrosion-resistant material; the softer rubber diaphragm valve can cut off the leakage of the medium; the flow path is simple, and it is generally used in unclean media; it is more suitable for corrosive, slurry media, and viscosity; it can use hard suspended media, and the media only contacts the valve body and the diaphragm, so there is no need for stuffing box, there is no problem of stuffing box leakage, and it is non-corrosive to the valve stem. It can be used in most environments.
If the sanitary diaphragm valve is opened for a long time, there may be dirt on the sealing surface; when closing, the valve can be gently closed first, and then opened a little, so that the high-speed flowing medium can be used to flush the dirt, and then closed tightly. The valve stem thread often rubs against the valve stem nut. A certain amount of oil should be maintained at the screw to lubricate the valve stem to ensure that the valve stem moves freely and is flexible.
When the sanitary diaphragm valve is mechanically driven, lubricating oil should be added to the gearbox in time; for valves that are not frequently opened and closed, the handwheel should be turned regularly to add lubricant to the valve stem thread to prevent biting. When closing or opening the valve, it is forbidden to use a long lever or a long wrench to wrench the handwheel. Spare sanitary diaphragm valves should be placed in a dry place indoors, and the interface should be sealed with wax paper or plugs to prevent dirt from entering. Before opening the steam sanitary diaphragm valve, the condensed water in the system must be removed first, and then the valve should be opened slowly to avoid steam-water shock; when the valve is fully opened, the handwheel should be reversed a little. For sanitary diaphragm valves installed outdoors, a protective cover should be installed on the valve stem to protect it from rain, snow, dust and rust. The valve should be cleaned and inspected frequently to keep the valve components clean and intact. Do not place heavy objects on the valve, and do not stand on the valve.
